Seven representatives from IMA travelled to Rosemont, IL to participate in the 2026 National Miss Amazing Summit, a three day event boasting over 200 participants from across the country. State representatives (Queens) showcased their abilities in the following categories: an interview with judges, introductions to the audience, and a passion presentation (a 90 second performance or presentation that showcases the pastime or hobby a participant is most passionate about). In the spirit of Miss Amazing, all participants are awarded a trophy and crown as National Princesses. Seven participants in various age divisions were selected as National Representatives of Miss Amazing.
Illinois Miss Amazing is proud to have sent the following Queens to the National Summit: Sophia Dolan (Preteen), Natalie Fenton (Junior Teen), Lainie Wilson (Teen), Izzy Gonzalez (Junior Miss), Kaela Denny (Miss), Edith Reynolds (Senior Miss), and Beth Carey (Mentor). They all will continue to represent their peers throughout the year in various local activities.
Sophia Dolan was selected as the National Preteen Miss Amazing Queen. Sophia is confident and proud when she sings, which brings her joy and helps her feel her best. She is skilled in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, cooking, cheering and singing. Seeing her family happy brings her joy. Her goals include competing in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament, seeing a Broadway show, going to college, and becoming a teacher.
Beth Carey received National Runner-Up in the Mentor Division as well as the Impact Award, which honors participants who have gone above and beyond to impact the world through service work. Applications were evaluated on leadership, effort, and personal growth.
Izzy Gonzalez was selected by her peers to receive the Friendship Award for the Junior Miss Division
Edith Reynolds and Beth Carey were recognized as Volunteer Award recipients. The Volunteer Award honors participants who have dedicated a significant number of volunteer hours over the past year.
The 2027 Illinois Miss Amazing State Amplify Event will be held on February 20, 2027 at Center Stage Theater in Naperville.
